C & D Productions & The Lake Erie Crushers Postpone “The Legends of Rock” Concert Due To Frontier League Championship Game in Avon.
Avon OH - With the Lake Erie Crushers successful playoff run, culminating in the Frontier League Championship series this week, the “Legends of Rock” Concert scheduled for this Saturday, September 19th, at All Pro Freight Stadium, has been postponed. The event will be rescheduled for a date to be determined in Spring of next year.
Greg Costa, one of the principals of C & D Productions (referred to as CDP Ohio), who are producing the “Legends of Rock” Concert, stated, “With the Crushers hosting Game Three of the Championship series on Sunday, prospective conflicts arose with the concert event. Staging for the concert will deter use of the field by the Crushers prior to Sunday’s game, with take-down of the stage potentially conflicting with the game on Sunday. In turn, Sunday was to be the rainout date for the concert, should there be inclement weather on Saturday.”
Costa added, “The Lake Erie Crushers take precedent with the facility. We fully understand that the city of Avon built the facility with baseball and the Lake Erie Crushers as the primary tenant.”
Ryan Gates, General Manager of the Crushers, commented, “It’s great to be playing for the League championship, but hosting Game Three does create potential scheduling issues. Postponing the concert will allow CDP Ohio and the Crushers to avoid any conflicts with the game on Sunday. We look forward to The Legends of Rock being an integral part of our planned Concert Series events next year.”
For refunds, all tickets for the Legends of Rock concert should be returned to the original point of purchase. For tickets purchased online, CDP Ohio will provide refunds to credit cards.
